Human mononuclear cells, systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE)
Mononuclear cells are used for researching the causes, diagnosis, supportive care and treatment of Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE), an autoimmune disease that affects all major organ systems as well as the skin and joints. Current treatments include immunosuppression; however stem cell and immunotherapies are under development. Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) is isolated from mononuclear cells collected from IRB-consented donors diagnosed with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE).

  • Cryopreserved in CryoStor® CS10 media

No pre-screening is done on fresh products, but donors are tested on day of collection for Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, and HIV 1/2.

Storage: Either prepare cells for long term storage in liquid nitrogen vapour phase or thaw for use. Storage in liquid phase nitrogen is NOT recommended. Short term storage of cells (less than 2 weeks) at –80°C is acceptable, but should be minimised to ensure maximum stability. Once thawed, samples must be used immediately.

Precaución: Intended for research use only and not for direct therapeutic or diagnostic use in human or animals, or for further manufacturing of therapeutic products or devices.
